“If not reversed, the injunction will…”: Google appeals US court to reject Play Store verdict
Google has appealed a court ruling that mandates significant changes to its Play app store. The tech giant filed its argument with the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals, claiming the trial judge made “legal errors” that unfairly favoured Epic Games, the creator of “Fortnite”.
“This case involves an extraordinary attempt by a lone competitor to use the federal judiciary to restructure the day-to-day operations of Google’s app store, Google Play, and to unilaterally reshape markets with consequences for millions of non-parties,” Google said in its filing.
