Apple eyes smart glasses market, challenging Facebook parent Meta and Snapchat

Apple is reportedly exploring the smart glasses market and for that it recently conducted a study to evaluate existing products and gauge consumer sentiment. According to a report by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, this ‘secretive research’ suggests that Apple may be considering its own entry into this growing segment after the launch of the high-end Vision Pro augmented reality (AR) headset.
According to Gurman, Apple held studies while it was developing the Vision Pro, AirPods and HomePod. Also, conducting studies when looking to expand into a new area is a common practice for the company, the report added.
