At Los Angeles event, chip maker AMD lays out its vision for AI PCs

AMD launched its next-generation Ryzen AI 300 series processors on Monday, announcing that the chips will go into more than 100 upcoming personal computers with advanced Artificial Intelligence capabilities. The Santa Clara, California-based company is betting on a new category of Windows-based AI PCs, featuring a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of at least 50 Tera Operations Per Second or TOPS, all-day battery life, and access to the most advanced AI models.
