Elon Musk ends silence on reports claiming he is leaving Donald Trump government

Elon Musk has responded to reports claiming that the Tesla CEO is stepping down from Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head. Karoline Leavitt, Assistant to the US President and White House Press Secretary replied to an X post by a Washington Columnist stating that President Donald Trump has told his inner circle & members of his Cabinet that Musk will be stepping back in the coming weeks from his current role. Quoting the post, Leavitt wrote: “This ‘scoop’ is garbage. Elon Musk and President Trump have both publicly stated that Elon will depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete.”
