The convergence of online gaming and sustainability marks a shift in the online gaming industry worldwide. It reflects that the gaming industry is witnessing an evolution – from merely a source of entertainment to more mindful and responsible gaming content consumption. Termed as “internet pollution,” online gaming presently contributes to 3.7% of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to a report from WinZO and Interactive Entertainment and Innovation Council (IEIC).
