Elon Musk launches fresh attack on ChatGPT maker: “The ‘open’ in OpenAI…”

Elon Musk has once again criticised ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, which he co-founded. Speaking at the Cannes Lions this week, Musk said that OpenAI was co-founded as a nonprofit and that he named it “OpenAI” for this very reason.
“It was very much a unipolar world where Google was completely dominant in AI,” Musk told WPP CEO Mark Read, saying that he started the company in part to offset Google.
