CCTV Security

The ministry of electronics and information technology (MeitY) has introduced measures to enhance the security of CCTV surveillance systems, addressing growing concerns over data breaches and privacy violations. The ministry came out with a gazette notification amending the Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021 (also known as Compulsory Registration Order or CRO) to include essential parameters to be abided to ensure the security of CCTV systems.
