Samsung beats Xiaomi for No. 1 spot in India’s smart TV market

India’s smart TV market experienced a slump in the first three months of the year 2024, with shipments dropping 14% compared to the same period last year according to Counterpoint Research. In a significant development, Samsung dethroned Xiaomi to become the leading smart TV brand in India by shipment volume for the first time. This coincides with a continued decline in the share of Chinese brands, which dropped from 39% in early 2022 to 30% in the last quarter.
