EC opens investigation

European Commission (EC) has announced an in-depth investigation into Adobe’s proposed $20 billion purchase of Figma under the EU Merger Regulation, citing fears of a product design monopoly. The Commission is concerned about the transaction that may reduce competition in the global markets for the supply of interactive product design software and for digital asset creation tools.
