Nasscom – Zinnov report on Start-ups

According to a report by National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom), in 2022, India saw addition of nearly 1,300 fresh startups and the second-highest number of unicorns, after the US, (with over 23 added in the CY2022) in the world. With 25,000-27,000 active tech startups, India remains to be the third largest tech start-up ecosystem globally after US and China. Simultaneously, the potential pipeline of unicorns expanded to over 170 (60 added in 2022), growing at a pace equivalent to 2021. Unicorns are startups which have a value of more than 1 billion dollars.
