Internet Shutdown

Parliamentary Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology has come out with a report on the action taken by the government on its earlier report on the “Suspension of Telecom Services/ Internet and its impact”. Showing its displeasure, the committee in the report said, it is very unfortunate to note that no efforts have been made by the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to implement the recommendations of the committee and maintain records related to internet shutdowns ordered by State Governments.
