BSNL – Virtuoso

On October 27, 2022, National Informatics Centre Services Inc (NIC) under the ministry of electronics and IT (Meity) received email that someone, using their SMS Header is sending emails to general public giving them job offers of Rs 16,000. After internal investigation with all the telcos, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) confirmed that Virtuoso Netsoft Pvt Ltd had done this. On the same day, BSNL lodged a complaint with Delhi Police’s Cyber cell, which transferred the case to Special Cell, where the case is now being investigated. The Police has registered an FIR under Sections 66 & 66C of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
