Trai has been receiving various request from consumers that in the absence of calling party name presentation facility, they prefer not to attend calls from unknown telephone numbers; as a result, even, genuine calls go unanswered. Therefore, on November 29, 2022, it has come out with a consultation paper to address the issue.
