Trai consultation on Broadcasting and Cable Services

Trai came out with a consultation paper on “Issues related to New Regulatory Framework for Broadcasting and Cable Services” in May 2022. In response, broadcasters have demanded that no ceiling price be placed for a-la carte channels (ALC) that need to be included in a bouquet. However, Distribution Platform Operators (DPOs) want the opposite, to have a fixed ceiling.
