Draft TTO

Trai has come out with a draft Telecommunication Tariff Amendment Order, 2021 on the “Regulatory framework for USSD-based tariff”. The amendment has proposed a zero charge for the USSD base transaction for the banking and payment services. At present, the USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) tariff ceiling for banking and payment services is priced at Rs 1.50 to Rs 0.50 per session.
