Telecom Sector Reforms

On September 15, 2021, the cabinet approved a number of reforms in the telecom sector to boost 4G proliferation, infuse liquidity, create an enabling environment for investment in 5G networks, and reduce regulatory burden on the telcos. This is a welcome move for all the stakeholders – industry, consumers and the government. With ease of doing business, there will be fresh investments in the sector and the consumers can expect better services.
