“Legal Professional Charges”

On September 20, 2021 a story appeared in an online news portal that a whistleblower within Amazon had revealed that allegedly huge bribes had been paid through lawyers in India under the garb of “legal professional charges”.

Soon thereafter, addressing an e-mail query of Reuters, the company said, “We have zero tolerance for corruption. We take allegations of improper actions seriously, investigate them fully, and take appropriate action.
