Apple: In-app purchases

On September 10, 2021, the US District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers pronounced a judgement in a case filed by Epic Games Inc against Apple. Epic claimed that Apple is charging 30 per cent commission for ‘in-app purchases’ from end-users for the ‘Fortnite’ game developed by it. As per the contract it entered with Apple, the users are not given the option to pay through cheaper mode.
