National Geospatial Policy

After liberalising the geo-spatial for the location of data and services including the maps, on April 27, 2021 the department of science and technology (DST) has come out with a Draft National Geospatial Policy 2021, which is aimed at developing the geospatial ecosystem in the country. The policy aims to encourage spatial thinking, generate geospatial knowledge, strengthen geospatial infrastructure, promote use of Geospatial Data, Products, Solutions and Services (GDPSS) and boost geospatial entrepreneurship for socio-economic development of the nation.
