Verizon Report on Cyberattacks

Verizon released the 14th edition of its Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR-2021). The report highlights how the move to the cloud and remote work due to Covid-19 pandemic has opened up more avenues for cybercrimes. Phishing has increased by 11 pc and ransomware increased 6 pc while use of stolen credentials and phishing errors stayed consistent with last year.
