FDI in FY21

Computer software and hardware sector has got the lion share of the total $59.64 billion, about 43 per cent, foreign inflows that India attracted in 2020-21. According to data from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), it jumped over 340 per cent to $26.15 billion during 2020-21 in comparison to $7.67 billion in 2019-20. The sector received $6.42 billion FDI in 2018-19.
