Spectrum

Should the government provide free spectrum to private companies for providing commercial services? The answer to this straight question is a clear ‘no’. Certain technology companies are raising a crescendo for delicensing spectrum. The plea is benign, they say that they will provide cheaper broadband services through deployment of public WiFi networks but this is just a smokescreen for their lobbying. The real intent is to grab free spectrum.
