The requirement is part of broader vetting procedures introduced by the US State Department in recent years. As part of the updated rules, applicants must list IDs used on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others\u2014even if the accounts are no longer active from the last five years.<\/p>\n<p>The US State Department reiterated that &#8220;every visa adjudication is a national security decision&#8221; and stressed that a US visa is &#8220;a privilege, not a right&#8221;.
