Hitachi on Thursday said it is acquiring German cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) services provider, Synvert, from private equity (PE) firm Maxburg to accelerate the development of agentic and physical AI solutions. <\/p>\n
Following the close of the acquisition in the financial year ending March 2026, Synvert will become a subsidiary of Hitachi\u2019s US subsidiary, GlobalLogic. <\/p>\n
The companies did not disclose the financial terms. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis acquisition aims to accelerate the deployment of HMAX, Hitachi\u2019s solution suite advancing operational autonomy and business model innovation through Agentic and Physical AI, solving customer and societal challenges in the AI era,\u201d Hitachi said. <\/p>\n
Synvert is a consulting firm in the data and AI space, with a portfolio of over 200 clients. It has partnerships with leading cloud and data platform vendors, including Databricks and Snowflake, alongside major public cloud vendors \u2013 Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. <\/p>\n
Synvert\u2019s strong presence in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and the Middle East will help expand markets for HMAX through collaboration with Hitachi Rail and Hitachi Energy. <\/p>\n
