{"id":962695,"date":"2025-09-18T17:28:29","date_gmt":"2025-09-18T11:58:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/?p=962695"},"modified":"2025-09-18T19:33:31","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T14:03:31","slug":"vodafone-idea-awards-bss-modernisation-deal-to-tcs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/2025\/09\/18\/vodafone-idea-awards-bss-modernisation-deal-to-tcs\/","title":{"rendered":"Vodafone Idea awards BSS modernisation deal to TCS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>India\u2019s third-largest telecom carrier, Vodafone Idea (Vi), has awarded a business support system (BSS) modernisation deal to homegrown IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). <\/p>\n<p>The five-year deal would see TCS upgrading Vi\u2019s BSS through an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven and future-ready platform, enabling the telco to enhance customer experience and accelerate the launch of new products and services, according to a joint statement on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>The transformation will be anchored on TCS\u2019s flagship solution \u2014 TCS HOBS and TCS TwinX. <\/p>\n<p>TCS\u2019s shares were trading 0.13% higher at \u20b93,177, while Vi\u2019s were up by 0.77% at \u20b97.84 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) at the time of filing this report. <\/p>\n<p>The companies, however, did not disclose the financials of the partnership. <\/p>\n<p>TCS HOBS will provide the digital backbone for business support systems, driving agility, stability, and seamless integration across customer touchpoints, while TCS TwinX will complement this with AI\/ML-powered intelligence and scenario simulation, helping Vi to enhance service responsiveness and deliver personalised interactions. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this partnership, Vi is embarking on a transformative journey to redefine customer experience. By modernising our BSS platforms embedded with AI-driven innovation, we are setting a new standard to deliver faster, smarter and more personalised digital experiences,\u201d said Jagbir Singh, chief technology officer (CTO), Vi. <\/p>\n<p>The deal comes at a time when Vi is focused on expanding the deployment of its commercial fifth-generation or 5G network to offer differentiated and enhanced mobile broadband services to its customers in 17 priority circles. Its rivals, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, already provide nationwide 5G services. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy leveraging our advanced AI capabilities and flagship products, TCS HOBS and TCS TWINX, we are committed to transforming customer engagement and operational efficiency for Vodafone Idea.
