Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) on Friday said they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to accelerate the development of India\u2019s sovereign cloud ecosystem.<\/p>\n
The collaboration aims to deliver scalable, AI-enabled cloud platforms that align with India’s data localisation mandates and support the digital transformation of critical public sector services, according to a joint statement.<\/p>\n
The partnership will focus on developing and integrating indigenous innovations into TCS’ sovereign cloud stack, which will ensure secure and compliant hosting of critical government applications such as e-Sanjeevani and Dial 112, along with workloads from central ministries. <\/p>\n
The move is expected to enhance security, compliance, and performance, facilitating faster enterprise adoption across key sectors, including healthcare, defense, smart cities, and banking and financial services (BFSI). <\/p>\n
\u201cBy bringing together C-DAC\u2019s expertise in indigenous innovation with TCS\u2019 deep industry presence and execution strength, we aim to accelerate the development, deployment, and long-term sustainability of sovereign cloud platforms,\u201d said Magesh Ethirajan, director-general, C-DAC. <\/p>\n
This collaboration is part of a broader strategic effort to reduce reliance on global hyperscalers by building a robust, future-ready sovereign cloud ecosystem driven by OpenStack and indigenous technologies. <\/p>\n
