RailTel Corporation of India on Monday reported a 36% growth in its Q1 net profit to \u20b966 crore versus \u20b949 crore in the year ago period. The profit after tax (PAT) is attributable to the shareholders of the company. The company’s revenue from operation stood at \u20b9744 crore which was up 33% from \u20b9558 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year.<\/p>\n
The PSU railway company’s profit after tax (PAT) fell 42% on a quarter-on-quarter basis versus \u20b9113 crore reported in Q4FY25. The topline plunged 43% in the quarter under review compared to \u20b91,308 crore in the January-March quarter of FY25. <\/p>\n
The earnings were announced after market hours and RailTel Shares on Monday ended with sharp decline, falling by \u20b916.35 or 4.15% to \u20b9378. <\/p>\n
The company earned \u20b914 crore in other income compared to \u20b919 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last financial year and \u20b920 crore in Q4FY24. <\/p>\n
Segment revenue <\/p>\n
The telecom services revenue stood at \u20b9335 crore in Q1FY26 versus \u20b9328 crore in Q1FY25 and \u20b9359 crore in Q4FY25. <\/p>\n
The project work services revenue stood at \u20b9409 crore in Q1FY26 versus \u20b9230 crore in Q1FY25 and \u20b9950 crore in Q4FY25. <\/p>\n
The total expenses for RailTel stood at \u20b9672 crore in Q1FY26 versus \u20b9493 crore in the year ago period. In the previous quarter, the state-run company reported expenses of \u20b91,189 crore.
