{"id":947075,"date":"2025-07-16T17:15:04","date_gmt":"2025-07-16T11:45:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/?p=947075"},"modified":"2025-07-22T07:36:49","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T02:06:49","slug":"bsnl-transfers-13-its-officers-with-immediate-effect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/2025\/07\/16\/bsnl-transfers-13-its-officers-with-immediate-effect\/","title":{"rendered":"BSNL transfers 13 ITS officers with immediate effect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Tuesday shifted as many as 13 officers of the Indian Telecommunication Services (ITS) cadre with &#8220;immediate&#8221; effect. <\/p>\n<p>In an order dated July 15, seen by ETTelecom, the personnel section of BSNL said that &#8220;the transfer and posting of the Principal General Manager (PGM)\/General Manager (GM) level officers are hereby issued with immediate effect and until further orders.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Those shifted include Sandeep Gupta, Sanjeev Narang, Naveen Kumar, Lokesh Kumar, Rajiva Shrivastava, Sreenivas U, Rajesh Verma, Sridhar V and Ravinder Kumar.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, the Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has also conveyed the new postings of ITS Group A officers, originally notified on June 27, 2025. <\/p>\n<p>Swadesh Kumar Samanta, working with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) on deputation has been transferred to Northeast Licensed Service Area (LSA) in Mizoram; Ram Kumar, working with Gujarat LSA has been shifted to Rajasthan LSA; Piyush Chetiya DDG (Future Networks) at Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) is now posted at Assam LSA; and Harshvardhan Singh, CGM, MTNL has been relocated to Uttar Pradesh (West) LSA.<\/p>\n<p>The development comes close to the heels of BSNL, shifting nearly 4% or 839 of its overall executive officers, citing promotions and long stay at present locations.<\/p>\n<p>BSNL employs nearly 20,000 executives and 30,000 non-executives. <\/p>\n<p>In June last year, BSNL transferred more than 475 employees, that includes 265 from the sub-divisional engineer (SDE) rank and 265 employees of the divisional engineer (DE) rank. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the state-controlled telecom service provider also directed Chief General Managers (CGM) that \u201crevenue-generating posts\u201d in the enterprise business, consumer mobility and consumer fixed access (CFA) verticals should be filled on priority. <\/p>\n<p>BSNL expects its income to swell to about 20% by this fiscal end, owing to reduction in finance costs and overall expenditure, with next generation or 4G commercial rollout contributing to 10% of its total revenues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Tuesday shifted as many as 13 officers of the Indian Telecommunication Services (ITS) cadre with &#8220;immediate&#8221; effect.
