Bharti Airtel is deploying Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson\u2019s Core solution to enhance capability and capacity for its 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) service nationwide. <\/p>\n
Under the agreement, Ericsson is supplying a new platform that will support high-capacity FWA with a smaller footprint and better total cost of ownership, the companies said in a joint statement Wednesday. <\/p>\n
The solution builds on the previously announced dual-mode 5G Core deal between Ericsson and Airtel for 5G packet core that created a unified network infrastructure, underpinning Airtel\u2019s transition to 5G Standalone (SA). <\/p>\n
