Smartphone brand Realme has partnered with homegrown Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to manufacture Realme\u2019s artificial IoT (AIoT) products in India, including earphones, smartwatches, and tablets. <\/p>\n
From this year, key products such as the Realme Buds T200 series, Realme Buds Wireless series, and Realme Buds Air series will start rolling off local production lines, the companies said in a joint statement Wednesday. <\/p>\n
Together, Realme and OEL aim to manufacture 5 million AIoT devices annually while generating over 2,000 new employment opportunities in India. <\/p>\n
\u2018This partnership will also contribute to the creation of a stronger local supply chain and skilled workforce to support high-volume and high-quality production,\u2019 the companies said. <\/p>\n
OEL has already commenced the production of the Realme Buds T200 Lite. <\/p>\n
Realme and OEL, however, did not disclose the financials of their partnership.<\/p>\n
Parallelly, the smartphone brand said it is boosting its efforts to domestically source crucial components in India, including PCBAs, batteries, mechanics, cables, and chargers. <\/p>\n
As per the statement, Realme is also evaluating opportunities to export Made-in-India AIoT products to global markets, establishing India not just as a manufacturing base but also as a global hub for innovation and production. <\/p>\n
