It will complement the NASDAQ-listed firm\u2019s primary R&#038;D hub in Tel Aviv, Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Parallelly, the company appointed Rajeev Koripalli as the Vice-President of Research &#038; Development, India. He has led the development of large-scale R&#038;D teams specialising in networking, security, wireless, and cloud technologies and has held leadership roles at global telecom gear makers including Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and Nokia. <\/p>\n<p>The new R&#038;D centre in India will drive the development of core product ranges such as Check Point Quantum, which provides enterprise-grade network security, and will have an emphasis on Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), which the company terms as its strategic growth area.<\/p>\n<p>Check Point said in the statement the R&#038;D site in Bengaluru will be integral to the next-generation SASE network, enabling enterprise-scale, elastic growth while expanding its full mesh architecture, currently spanning over 80 global points of presence (PoPs). <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndia is a global technology powerhouse, and our new R&#038;D Centre in Bengaluru reflects our deep commitment to harnessing top-tier cyber security talent from the region,\u201d said Ruma Balasubramanian, President of APAC &#038; Japan, Check Point Software Technologies. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this investment, we are not only expanding our footprint but also laying the foundation for cutting-edge security innovations that will benefit customers worldwide,\u201d Balasubramanian added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe launch of our Bengaluru R&#038;D Centre is a significant milestone in our global innovation strategy,\u201d said Nataly Kremer, Chief Product Officer, Check Point Software Technologies. \u201cAs cyber threats grow more sophisticated, this team will play a pivotal role in developing next-generation security solutions, ensuring customers are protected with cutting-edge technology.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Once operational, the Bengaluru R&#038;D Centre will also have a crucial role in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven threat prevention, security management enhancements, and next-generation cyber defense development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global cybersecurity company Check Point Software Technologies said on Tuesday that it aims to establish its first Asia Pacific Research &#038; Development (R&#038;D) centre in Bengaluru, India.
