{"id":823970,"date":"2024-06-19T16:46:54","date_gmt":"2024-06-19T11:16:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/?p=823970"},"modified":"2024-06-19T16:50:55","modified_gmt":"2024-06-19T11:20:55","slug":"accenture-to-acquire-italys-fibermind-to-strengthen-5g-network-fiber-capabilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/2024\/06\/19\/accenture-to-acquire-italys-fibermind-to-strengthen-5g-network-fiber-capabilities\/","title":{"rendered":"Accenture to acquire Italy\u2019s Fibermind to strengthen 5G network, fiber capabilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Irish-American IT and consulting services firm Accenture Wednesday said it has agreed to acquire Fibermind, an Italy-based network services company specialising in fiber and mobile 5G networks deployments, as well as, infrastructure engineering services. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe acquisition will strengthen Accenture\u2019s capabilities in the domain and extend network services to clients across multiple industries, including telecommunications, utilities, and transportation,\u201d Accenture said in a media statement. <\/p>\n<p>The companies, however, did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction. <\/p>\n<p>Headquartered in Rovigo, Italy, with operations throughout the country, Fibermind has over 20 years of experience serving public and private sector clients, a strong partner ecosystem and long-standing relationships with national authorities and municipalities. <\/p>\n<p>Fibermind also has well-established client relationships with Italy\u2019s major mobile and fiber network operators.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe acquisition of Fibermind reaffirms Accenture\u2019s commitment to continuously invest in strategic acquisitions that support and accelerate our clients\u2019 transformations across key industry sectors in Italy,\u201d said Mauro Macchi, president and CEO of Accenture in Italy. <\/p>\n<p>The acquisition will strengthen Accenture\u2019s capabilities to offer end-to-end network engineering services, Macchi said. <\/p>\n<p>More than 400 professionals from Fibermind will join Accenture Operations, with expertise spanning network design, permits management, technical office and local directive project management office (PMO) work, network acceptance testing, network documentation and home connection.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis acquisition will significantly strengthen our expertise in the telecommunications network engineering services, boosting our growth in a strategic sector for the country,\u201d said Roberto Pagella, who leads Accenture Operations in Italy. \u201cThe synergies with Fibermind will allow us to create a center of excellence in engineering services where technology and data enhance and amplify human skills and knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe welcome the opportunity to grow by joining Accenture and become part of its global network.
