OpenAI saw a drop in its traffic from the highs reached in May 2023 when the number of estimated visits crossed 1.8 billion. After ChatGPT first rolled out at the end of 2022, users had to sign up for an OpenAI account. It then added paid subscriptions for products such as DALL-E and other models.
\nOpenAI explained that it has added \u201cadditional content safeguards for this experience,\u201d . Additionally the upgrade will also include blocking prompts for other range of categories, which OpenAI has not revealed. However, the option to choose the model training remains unchanged, even to users without accounts. It is believed that users can keep a track of their ChatGPT activity and can train OpenAI\u2019s AI models.
\nThe new upgrade will only be applied to ChatGPT.
