UK-based Norden Communication has tied up with state-run Centre for Development and Advanced Computing to develop AI-based general purpose thermal cameras, which are for security purposes and other industrial applications. C-DAC, a research and development entity under the Electronics and IT ministry, has developed the thermal camera hardware and they have entered into a Transfer of Technology (ToT) agreement with Norden, where the company will add some analytics on top of it, produce and take it to the mass market, a company statement said.<\/p>\n
Norden specialises in the manufacture and distribution of extra-low voltage solutions.<\/p>\n
Norden Communication, Director – India and SAARC , Prashant Oberoi said the company expects to start shipment of “Made In India” thermal cameras within six months.<\/p>\n
“This collaboration stands as an opportunity to advance in surveillance technology and demonstrates unwavering dedication to national security as a part of the Make-in-India initiative,” he said.<\/p>\n
