Finland\u2019s Nokia has bagged an infrastructure upgrade deal from Armenian telecom operator Ucom, under which it will deploy Radio Access Network (RAN) to support 5G services in the future, and also roll out new Core and IP network.<\/p>\n
As part of the deal, Nokia will supply equipment from its comprehensive 5G AirScale portfolio powered by its ReefShark System-on-Chip technology. Ucom will also utilise Nokia\u2019s intelligent MantaRay Networks Management system to enable a consolidated network view for improved network monitoring and management, with built-in artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities.<\/p>\n
Nokia will also provide solutions from its Cloud Packet Core portfolio, Cloud Operations Manager, Shared Data Layer and Subscriber Data Management, Policy Controller and Mediation for the mobile core network, and incorporate technologies such as Telephony Application Server, CFX-5000 and Session Border Controller for the voice core network.<\/p>\n
Nokia IP routers for access, aggregation, backhaul and core will also be deployed.<\/p>\n
