Homegrown telecom gear maker HFCL Monday said it has bagged a Rs 1,015 crore deal from Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam (MPJN), a government of Madhya Pradesh undertaking. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis order encompasses providing EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services including provision for laying of optical fiber cables on critical and important routes, for the execution of multi-village drinking water supply network in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh,\u201d HFCL said in a regulatory filing on Sunday. <\/p>\n
HFCL said the installation of optical fiber cables in these areas will also enhance the operation and maintenance of the network. <\/p>\n
\u201cThis order is expected to boost the company\u2019s revenue and profitability,\u201d the gear maker said. <\/p>\n
The abovementioned project will be executed by HFCL in collaboration with Khilari Infrastructure Private Limited as a consortium partner.<\/p>\n
HFCL said the project has to be executed within 24 months from the date of the order.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing the successful commissioning of the project, a three month trial run will be conducted. Thereafter, the company has to provide operation & maintenance services for ten years including defect liability period of one year which will run concurrently,\u201d said HFCL. <\/p>\n
