Satellite communications company Viasat said it has inked a Buyer-Furnished Equipment (BFE) deal with global aerospace company Embraer to offer Viasat\u2019s in-flight connectivity system as a line-fit option on Embraer\u2019s E2 aircraft family. <\/p>\n
Viasat\u2019s IFC system as a factory option on the Embraer E2 aircraft will enable airlines to offer advanced IFC to passengers and crew members. <\/p>\n
\u201cToday, multiple airlines, including Azul Airlines, have selected Embraer E2 aircraft equipped with Viasat’s IFC system direct from the factory,\u201d an official statement said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWith Viasat’s IFC system now line-fit available, we are enabling our airline customers to offer a highly optimized in-flight Wi-Fi experience that will keep them highly-competitive and will allow them to delight their passengers,\u201d said Rodrigo Silva e Souza, VP Marketing, Embraer Commercial Aviation. <\/p>\n
