{"id":1034269,"date":"2026-09-09T17:39:39","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T12:09:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/?p=1034269"},"modified":"2026-09-10T07:57:04","modified_gmt":"2026-09-10T02:27:04","slug":"qnu-labs-raises-%e2%82%b9200-crore-in-series-a1-from-nqm-speciale-invest-others-to-scale-rd-expand-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/2026\/09\/09\/qnu-labs-raises-%e2%82%b9200-crore-in-series-a1-from-nqm-speciale-invest-others-to-scale-rd-expand-markets\/","title":{"rendered":"QNu Labs raises \u20b9200 crore in Series A1 from NQM, Speciale Invest &#038; others to scale R&#038;D, expand markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Homegrown QNu Labs on Wednesday said it has raised \u20b9200 crore in a Series A1 round led by the National Quantum Mission (NQM) and Speciale Invest with participation from Sony Innovation Fund, Gaja Capital, and Artha Ventures, among other investors. <\/p>\n<p>QNu said in a statement that the fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate R&#038;D, deepen its technology leadership, and scale its sales and go-to-market capabilities across India and global markets. <\/p>\n<p>A part of this funding will be used as QNu&#8217;s contribution towards the approved project funded under RDI to build the technology backbone of India\u2019s Quantum Secure and Sensing Networks (IQSN). <\/p>\n<p>The investment will enable the startup to further extend its quantum-safe technology stack by expanding into quantum sensing and AI, expanding deployments across critical sectors, and building the capabilities required to address the rapidly emerging global demand for quantum-safe migration.<\/p>\n<p>With this, the deeptech startup, which is building quantum-safe cybersecurity solutions, has raised \u20b9375 crore to date, marking a significant development in its journey to build and scale Indian quantum-safe cybersecurity technology for global markets.<\/p>\n<p>The investment comes at a pivotal moment for quantum cybersecurity, as enterprises and governments worldwide prepare for the transition to quantum-safe infrastructure, and India\u2019s National Quantum Mission is setting an aggressive timeline of 2029. <\/p>\n<p>With quantum computing and AI expected to fundamentally challenge existing encryption systems, organisations are increasingly evaluating migration to cryptographic technologies designed to withstand current and future quantum and AI attacks. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe National Quantum Mission, through its IIT Madras hub, has laid the foundation and with implementation timelines published in 2026 across sectors, quantum-safe technology is shifting from policy to commercial deployment,\u201d said Sunil Gupta, co-founder, QNu Labs. <\/p>\n<p>QNu Labs has spent more than 10 years in building its technology stack and has already deployed across government, critical infrastructure and BFSI, according to Gupta. <\/p>\n<p>As the national hub for quantum communication under the National Quantum Mission, Samgnya has led the investment round as a step towards strengthening the country\u2019s quantum capabilities at its foundation, said Ravindra Barlingay, CEO, IITM C-DOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation (National Hub for Quantum Communication). <\/p>\n<p>\u201cQNu Labs\u2019 trajectory will be closely watched as India advances its ambition to build trusted, sovereign and globally competitive quantum technologies and products, and to take its place among the world\u2019s leaders in the quantum age,\u201d added Barlingay. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSony Innovation Fund is actively investing across the deep-tech sector, with a strong focus on India\u2019s rapidly growing ecosystem.
