{"id":1033812,"date":"2026-09-07T17:50:49","date_gmt":"2026-09-07T12:20:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/?p=1033812"},"modified":"2026-09-08T06:51:02","modified_gmt":"2026-09-08T01:21:02","slug":"tcs-subsidiary-hypervault-to-develop-up-to-1-gw-ai-data-center-in-hyderabad-invest-%e2%82%b970000-crore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/telecomlive.in\/web\/2026\/09\/07\/tcs-subsidiary-hypervault-to-develop-up-to-1-gw-ai-data-center-in-hyderabad-invest-%e2%82%b970000-crore\/","title":{"rendered":"TCS subsidiary Hypervault to develop up to 1 GW AI data center in Hyderabad, invest \u20b970,000 crore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) said its subsidiary, Hypervault, has secured 264-acre land to develop an AI data center of up to 1 GW capacity in Hyderabad.<\/p>\n<p>HyperVault and its partners are expected to invest up to \u20b970,000 crore to build and manage this infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>The Hyderabad AI data center campus will be purpose-built to serve the needs of frontier AI companies and hyperscalers, enabling high-density GPU deployments for AI training, inference, and advanced computing workloads, the homegrown IT services company said.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, TCS said the project may catalyse India\u2019s AI infrastructure ecosystem across power, cooling, networking, construction, engineering and operations. <\/p>\n<p>The project will generate \u201cseveral thousand direct and indirect jobs in the region\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis establishes that Hyderabad is now at the forefront of the global AI revolution with a strong focus on infrastructure. This decade is one of Artificial Intelligence. Access to AI models and compute is fast-becoming public infrastructure and having this compute reside in Telangana gives us an advantage,\u201d said Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. <\/p>\n<p>IT &#038; Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu said, \u201cThis agreement germinated from a conversation between the Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister with N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, in Davos in January this year. Since then, within a few months, officials and our friends at HyperVault and TCS have moved at the speed of thought to make this happen,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>K Krithivasan, CEO &#038; MD, TCS, said, \u201cHyperVault advances TCS\u2019 Infrastructure-to-Intelligence strategy by bringing together AI-ready infrastructure with our cloud, engineering, enterprise transformation and AI capabilities.
