The strong earnings lifted the stock as much as 9% to Rs 223 on the BSE.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s revenue from operations came in at Rs 281 crore for the quarter under review, an increase of 4% from Rs 271 crore reported in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, MobiKwik said in a regulatory filing. <\/p>\n<p>One MobiKwik\u2019s EBITDA turned positive at Rs 8 crore, compared with an EBITDA loss of Rs 42 crore a year ago. Gross margin improved to 37% in Q1 FY27 from 28% in the year-ago quarter. <\/p>\n<p>One MobiKwik Q1 highlights <\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s payments business continued to deliver strong growth, supported by improving unit economics and high operating leverage. It remained the No. 1 PPI wallet in India and ranked among the two fastest-growing UPI apps in the country&#8217;s UPI ecosystem, with UPI transactions growing 2.3 times year on year. <\/p>\n<p>The company also emerged as the sixth-largest customer operating unit in the BBPS ecosystem. During the quarter, it recorded its highest-ever platform GMV of Rs 58,700 crore, marking its 14th consecutive quarter of growth, with GMV rising 50% year on year in Q1, driven by strong UPI performance across revenue-generating payment categories. <\/p>\n<p>Net payments margin stood at 13 basis points, supported by a healthy mix of payment volumes and merchant monetisation. Gross margin improved to 37% from 28% in the year-ago quarter. The user base expanded to 193 million, while the merchant base grew to 5.02 million. <\/p>\n<p>The company&#8217;s financial services business continued to deliver strong, high-quality revenue, supported by better credit quality and improved collections. Financial services gross profit surged to Rs 43.3 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 7.7 crore in the year-ago quarter. <\/p>\n<p>Net financial services margin expanded fivefold to 5.9% from 1.1% in Q1 FY26, driven by an improvement in credit quality. ZIP EMI GMV stood at Rs 736.7 crore, up 6% year on year, with 32% of disbursals through the distribution model and 68% through the FLDG model. Credit risk performance also improved by around 25%, with 60% of loans being extended to repeat customers. <\/p>\n<p>One MobiKwik Q1 management commentary <\/p>\n<p>The company said the strong quarter was driven by disciplined cost management and stronger monetisation across its payments and financial services businesses.
