Indian Army and Bharti Airtel have signed a pact to strengthen mobile network infrastructure in remote areas of West Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh, an official said here on Monday. <\/p>\n
The partnership aims to bridge the digital divide in regions that have remained disconnected for over a decade, addressing a critical development need in the strategically important frontier region, Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Mahendra Rawat said in an official communique. <\/p>\n
“This initiative is a significant stride towards nation-building through military-civil integration,” he said. <\/p>\n
The project is designed to facilitate greater access to essential services for residents, including government schemes, digital education, healthcare, and financial inclusion. <\/p>\n
Enhanced connectivity is also expected to bolster local tourism and create new socio-economic opportunities, the official added. <\/p>\n
