US telecom giant T-Mobile on Thursday announced the launch of its global technology centre in Hyderabad, as the company looks to expand its global engineering and digital capabilities outside the US.<\/p>\n
The new 2.5 lakh sq. ft facility, operated through TMUS Global Solutions, will serve as a strategic technology and innovation hub focused on software engineering, DevOps, product development, cybersecurity, data analytics and next-generation digital solutions.<\/p>\n
The company plans to scale the Hyderabad centre to nearly 1,000 employees by 2027.<\/p>\n
T-Mobile is one of the largest wireless network operators in the US, serving more than 140 million customers. <\/p>\n
\u201cHyderabad offers a strong combination of technology talent, innovation capabilities, and an established ecosystem that aligns with our long-term goals,\u201d said Chandra Gupta, vice-president, information technology, TMUS Global Solutions. \u201cOur Global Technology Centre in Hyderabad will play an important role in strengthening our engineering and digital capabilities.\u201d <\/p>\n
The move marks another significant addition to Hyderabad’s GCC ecosystem, which has seen increasing interest from global enterprises across sectors including life sciences, retail, travel, hospitality, semiconductors and telecommunications. <\/p>\n
