Elon Musk recently announced that Tesla’s Terafab project will launch within seven days. This is an ambitious project wherein the company plans to build what may be one of the largest artificial intelligence (AI) chip manufacturing facilities ever made. The announcement was made by Musk on March 14, puts a firm timeline on a project he has been hinting at for over a year.
“Terafab Project launches in 7 days,” Musk said in a post on X (formerly Twitter – signalling that Tesla is preparing to take the next step toward becoming self-sufficient in the AI chips.
