Amazon adds route connecting Guwahati, Kolkata to air cargo service

In an effort to enhance its operations in the Northeast, Amazon India has launched a new air cargo route linking Guwahati with Kolkata as part of its Amazon Air fleet. The service, which began in 2023, originally operated in major cities such as Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

The newly established route is anticipated to significantly accelerate delivery times, improving shipment speed by five times. This enhancement will facilitate deliveries throughout the seven sister states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura, according to a company statement.
