Stryker cyberattack: One of America’s largest medical device makers gives update on attack that Iran-linked hackers claim responsibility for; says, ‘At this time …’

US-based medical device and services provider Stryker said that a cyberattack has disrupted its global network. According to a Reuters report, the company revealed in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing that the attack caused disruptions and limitations of access to some of its systems. The company has 56,000 employees and operates in 61 countries. Stryker confirmed the cyberattack and as per an update on its official website, it is “continuing to resolve the disruption … resulting from the cyber attack”. The firm further revealed that there is no indication of malware or ransomware and that “the situation is contained to our internal Microsoft environment only”.
