MeitY adds another 24,000 GPUs to boost AI-led innovation
NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) added another 24,000 graphics processing units (GPUs), bringing the total count to 62,000, in a big push to boost innovation and indigenously developed artificial intelligence (AI) applications.
“We have 24,000 more GPUs. It’s in addition to 38,000. “We are allocating them to states to help them develop AI applications,” Abhishek Singh, additional secretary, Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY) and CEO of the IndiaAI Mission, told ET.
