Bharti Airtel 15% away from achieving ARPU of ₹300: Analysts

NEW DELHI: India’s Bharti Airtel has said that it is 15% away from its ambition of achieving an average revenue per user (ARPU) of ₹300, which would be driven by upselling in the mid-to-upper end of tariffs and restructuring of data packs, according to analysts.

“Mittal believes that the right ARPU should be ₹300 and is now 15% away. Bharti will certainly get there but do not know if it is a matter of months or years to get there. The intention is also to keep low end entry point affordable,” analysts at BoFA Securities wrote in a research note, following a call between Sunil Bharti Mittal, founder & chairman, Bharti Enterprises and investors.
