Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei recently warned that software engineering and coding jobs are at risk due to rapid advancements in artificial intelligence. The cofounder of the company that developed the AI tool that wiped out billions from software stock values has predicted significant disruption in the sector within the next one to five years. Meanwhile, Alexander Embiricos, the lead of product development at OpenAI’s Codex, does not agree with that view.
Days before Amodei’s warning, Embiricos said that it’s the best time ever to be an engineer in an episode of “The Twenty Minute VC” podcast with Harry Stebbings.
