Beamr Imaging renews video optimisation deal with JioHotstar

Beamr Imaging has renewed its contract with JioHotstar, one of the world’s largest streaming platforms with more than 450 million users.

JioHotstar hosts over 300,000 hours of content, including live sports and film libraries featuring titles from Walt Disney Studios, Pixar, Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm.

The platform uses Beamr’s patented Content-Adaptive Bitrate technology to manage video delivery at scale across its catalogue. The technology enables 30% to 50% reductions in storage and bandwidth costs while preserving video quality.
