Why hyperscalers need purpose-built networks
India’s digital infrastructure is entering a new phase, driven by rapid expansion of hyperscale data centres and accelerating adoption of cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. India now has an installed capacity of 1.3GW, with 2.9GW of additional supply likely by 2030, according to Cushman & Wakefield1.
Telecom networks have expanded significantly over the past decade to support mobile and enterprise connectivity. However, there is growing realization that networks originally designed to carry retail and mobility traffic are unable to meet the new stringent demands on scalability, performance and operational workloads of hyperscalers.
